I’ve always had a wanderlust spirit, but my journey took a transformative turn in 2013 with a study abroad trip to Ecuador. What began as an academic adventure soon became a life-changing experience, and I was hooked. This sparked a semi-nomadic lifestyle that lasted for several years: I'd spend 12-18 months working, then pack my bags to backpack and volunteer overseas for months at a time. At the time, I didn’t realize how deeply these experiences were shaping my understanding of myself and my connection to the world around me.
As I continued to immerse myself in these perspective-shifting journeys, a bigger picture began to emerge. It became clear to me that I wanted to help others embark on similar adventures. This led me to reconnect with the friends I had made along the way, and from there, New Path Adventures was born.

Samart Srisoda, also known as Spicy Joe, is a passionate tour guide with a unique background in hospitality management, psychology, and ethnic studies. With over 19 years of guiding experience across Southeast Asia, he specializes in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. His 10 years as a novice monk have deeply influenced his understanding of mindfulness, human connection, and cultural immersion.
An enthusiastic chef at heart, Samart developed a love for cooking at the age of 6, particularly known for his love of spicy dishes. His tours are not only informative but interactive, encouraging travelers to engage, ask questions, and share stories, enhancing the experience. He enjoys outdoor activities like cycling, hiking, and kayaking.
Samart believes that travel is about more than just visiting places—it's about self-discovery, connecting with cultures, and creating unforgettable memories. His open-minded approach and passion for helping others experience authentic travel experiences make him an engaging and insightful guide.
